Responsibilities Most of what I do at Hamline's Center for Second Language Teaching and Learning has to do with preparing teachers to work with adult English language learners. Courses I teach include: - ESL 6620: TEFL Certificate course
- ESL 7650: Basics of Modern English
- ESL 6636: Course Design for Adult ESL Classes
In addition, I work with candidates in the MA in ESL program on their capstones. I also currently coordinate the department's efforts to establish an MA in ESL program in China. Background I received a BA in Spanish from Goshen College (IN), a Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University (ONT), and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the School for International Training (VT). I have taught ESL to adults in Spain and Minnesota. I've also taught Spanish to adults in Minnesota. My professional interests include peer collaboration, intercultural communication, and grammar. |
